Postcards & Small Reminders

Postcards from Warsaw and France
Postcards from Warsaw and France

I woke up late and tired today. It was one of those days when your body simply asks for rest. Maybe sometimes we need to listen before life forces us to slow down.

My research work has been moving a little slowly, as I have been busy with other things. It feels difficult, but perhaps that's exactly what a PhD means—patience, uncertainty, and persistence.

In the evening, I received a surprise parcel from a friend who had returned from Poland. Among the postcards was one of Marie Curie, which took me back to school, when my teacher used to call me 'Madam Curie'. It reminded me how lucky I am to have people who quietly push me towards becoming my best self.

Later, I read a small note about Sunita Chachi, a chef and tailor who manages a family of five and still smiles. Also, what's your view on Tres Leches milk cake à la Alia Bhatt?

What I learned

  • Rest is also productive.
  • The right people see potential in us.
  • Everyone has a story behind their smile.
